We went to a proper tea party yesterday and I mean proper.  Matching china, tea from a teapot, home-made scones and swiss roll, triangle sandwiches and good company.

My neighbour often holds these ‘get togethers’, usually for charity but this was just for her own pleasure and very pleasant it was too.

The rain held off and we even got to stroll around her garden.  Unlike mine hers is cared for right to the edges, mine tends to get wilder the further away from the house you get and it was nice to wander without having to resort to a machete and sturdy boots.

So thank you Margaret and Paul, a bit of gracious living in the midst of this ‘instant ‘ age.
